Art historian and critic Cassandra Langer became the accidental biographer of Romaine Brooks (1874-1970) when a search to uncover the artist’s aesthetics led Langer to rethink the flawed narrative of Brooks’ life.

My new book Erase Her: A Survivors Story is now available on Book Baby and from Amazon  It is an anti-conversion therapy, "D0 SAY GAY", and WHY story providing mental health tools for parents, questioning kids, and loving Allies including courageous teachers, guidance counselors, and relatives.

She will be adding two poetry books enhanced by original watercolors Rainbow Blues (available through LULU press), and Visages of Venus published with Painted Pony Press. Look for a third collection of social justice poems focusing on authoritarian abuses at home and abroad in 2024.
